Science Crime Practice for March 9th:
2:00 – 3:00pm for Individual work/study time.

Another successful Blue and Gold day is in the books. Congratulations to each and every student that was able to participate. Thank you to all of the coaches, parents, volunteers that were able to make the event run so smoothly. We would not be able to do it without you all. We really appreciate you and all that you do!
The following are the results from the Blue and Gold Day. If you were unable to be there for the award ceremony, please stop by Mrs. Bird or Mr. Mihalek’s room if you earned a prize.Blue and Gold Award Results
Saturday, February 17th is the GHMSSO Blue and Gold Day. Registration will begin at 7:30am in the cafeteria and run until the last time slot of the day. Students should arrive at least 15min. prior to their first event in order to register. Registration involves students checking in and receiving their competition t-shirt. Students are not required to wear their competition shirt during the day but we would like students to wear them for a team picture prior to the awards ceremony.
During the day the students will participate in up to 7 events according to the schedule.
There will be concessions available throughout the day as well as a $4.00 Pizza Lunch from 10:30 – 1:00pm in the cafeteria.
The Award Ceremony will be held at 3:00pm in the auditorium and end promptly at 4:00pm.

Any student wishing to work more on building their plane may attend practice on Sunday, from 12:00 – 2:00pm with Mr. Van Abbema at Lakeshore Middle School.
Any student with a completed plane that is ready to begin flying will meet on Sunday, from 12:00 – 2:00pm with Mr. Mihalek at White Pines Middle School Gym.
Due to the White Pines Buc Blaster, There will be no Science Crime practice for 6th grade students. All 7th – 9th grade students should attend practice from 3:00 – 4:30pm. Practice will end at 4:30pm so please plan accordingly for a ride.
Due to Exams, we will have half-days on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. As students will not be able to stay after school each day, there will be some changes to our practice schedule. Please see the following table for the changes. We will update Science Crime when more is known.

January 17th: There will be no Wright Stuff Build Time from 3:00 – 4:00 as Mr. Mihalek will not be back to school until 4:30pm. If you have free time and want to build sometime between 4:30 – 6:30pm that will work.
Wright Stuff Build is Cancelled due to Buc Blaster
Science Crime Busters will meet from 5:00 to 6:00pm for all students 6 – 9th grade due to the Buc Blaster.
Due to coach illness, the events Write it, Do it and Road Scholar are cancelled for this evening. All other events are on as usual. Mr. Funk will email the students involved in Write it, Do it and Road Scholar with anything they need.
